101. Killmail Generation - in Player Features and Ideas Discussion [original thread]
I assume the conceit behind killmails to be CONCORD record-keeping on ship destruction. Clearly CONCORD has already addressed the issue of 'what happens if an unregistered pirate (NPC) lays the final blow?' - the killmail is awarded to the last re...

102. what's going on in Y-W6GF? and can I salvage it? - in Corporation, Alliance and Organization Discussions [original thread]
Not trying to be smacky, just a stickler for accuracy. In this case, the one guy self-D'ing is the shield tanker in question and the others look to be pods that just in the thick of killing trapped capitals you go 'hey wait, they're self-ding!'. O...

I'll confirm what Gjs just said. We pulled up the logs and find the same thing. Only that one cap actually self-destructed.

Possible. Some bad people were shooting our subcaps.

105. what's going on in Y-W6GF? and can I salvage it? - in Corporation, Alliance and Organization Discussions [original thread]
Eh, I can remember skipping primaries on shield tankers because they'd pop before the two minutes it would take to kill them but no matter. It was noise compared to the actual fight.

You were probably being sarcastic, but just in case - No that's not true. Those will probably be countable whenever someone coughs up a FRAPS. Self-D's occurred during the final carrier-heavy fights at the end after our spider tanking fully stabil...

Ok, so I'm fairly sure this stands as the most capital deaths in a single fight now. After listing pilot by pilot and double checking everyone's KBs for a couple days final tally appears to stand at. Defender Lossmails (54) -- Cry Havoc : 15 Drea...

Originally by: Viper ****zIe No killmail generated = no killmail posted. True this. We have no KMs posted for either self-destructed MS. But the MS remain just as dead.

Self-destructed is just as dead. Pretending "oh he chose to" is all well and trolly, but doesn't give you a mothership. Mostly its just a game design flaw (since truthfully any MS can self-destruct before it dies unless you drop 50 dreads on it) i...

That's entirely possible. They brought more dreads during some of their successive waves. Mostly just disagreeing with your saying only 3 more dreads died after you left ;)

May as well get used to it. Titan loss rate is tiny whereas Titan construction rate is pretty huge. Casual DD will only get more and more common.

Not sure why so much Huzzah hate. They're a cautious mid-sized alliance who generally run decent configurations with competent FCing. That right there is better than a blisteringly wide swath of EVE.
